Continue reading for four tips that are sure to have you walking into your interview with poise and confidence. We’re here to help you make this your best year yet!

Research, Research, Research:
You’ve landed the interview. Congratulations! Your next step should be to start researching. Start by looking over the company website. Then, ask for brochures and more reading material. Your goal is to learn as much about their business as possible. Educate yourself on their management team, their company goals, and their corporate values. Not only are you confirming that this is the right company for you, but you are educating yourself about the position and your interviewer. Show them that you are interested in the position and the company as a whole!

Dress the part:
Have you ever heard the saying, “you never get a second chance to make a good first impression”? How you present yourself during your interview matters more than you realize. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have! The fashion rule of thumb is that you should dress slightly better than the dress code that the position requires. At Vaddo, Inc., we dress business professional. So, come in with your suit wrinkle-free, and your shoes shined.

Be on time:
The manager that you are meeting with will most likely have a day full of meetings and interviews. Being late will be a hindrance to their time. We recommend that you show up for your interview five-ten minutes early. This will allow you the chance to chat with the receptionist, fill out any paperwork, and gives your interviewer plenty of time to prepare for you. Show off your responsibility and punctuality from the get-go!

Pay attention to your body language:
One of the first things an interviewer at Vaddo, Inc. is going to notice about you is how you carry yourself. Start your interview process off on the right foot by looking at everyone in the eye. This not only shows confidence but respect as well. Next, make sure you’re giving out a firm handshake. Don’t be limp-handed or bone-crushing. Find the perfect balance that shows that you are ready to take on this new role. Our last piece of body language advice – sit up straight! Carry yourself with poise and grace.

Remember, if you snagged an interview here at Vaddo, Inc., then you obviously have the right skill set. Don’t allow your nerves to get in the way of achieving your professional goals. Know who you are meeting with, dress for the role you want, show up early, and hold your head high! With these tips, you’ll nail the interview, and your new year will not only start with a new position but a career-altering opportunity as well. Good luck!!
